UTOPIA AS SEEN THROUGH A SMOKEY CLOUD

Sometime ago I came across a post at "Sugar n Spice" concerning an interview Obama gave to "60 Minutes". In the interview Obama is seen giggling and laughing and is called on it by the reporter, to which he replies "well you need a little gallows humor" or something to that effect. Glad he mentioned hanging and not some conservative---know that would have created something of a fire-storm. Sugar mentioned in her post that Barack looked and acted like he was high---the giggles, laughs, etc. Guess the truth will never be known---his actions did raise some eye-brows, however.

Anyway after reading Sugar's post and viewing the "60 Minutes" video, I got to thinking about by days some years ago and my frequent visits with Maryjane (marijuana). Often I would come in after a long hard day at the office change clothes and go to my friends house. There Tim, my friend, and I would relax and fire-up the old bong and enjoy the sultry Florida evening. During those long (and they were long) evenings we would discuss and solve most of the world's problems. However, I did notice the next day that all the solutions had slipped away and not to be retrieved until our next visit to Maryjanes place. During the trips Tim and I saw somethings differently--I would focus on the small (like looking at the details of the bark on a tree), while my friend would focus on the large (the whole forest and beyond). I was looking to the infinity of the small and he the infinity of the large. He often said, "where the big meets the small there you would find the answer to it all." Tim is gone now, died at the young age of 44. I miss my friend. Enough of the reminiscing, back to Sugar's post on Obama.

While reading Sugar's post I was reminded of Jonahan Swift's, Gulliver's Travels. And 3 or the 4 stories in his satire. The first being the best known of his visit to the land of the Lilliputians---the examination of the small and seemingly petty things in life. And next the visit to the land of the giants (the Brobdingnagians)---holding the magnifying glass up to the world and pointing out the imperfections. And finally, the land of the horses (the Houyhnhnms)---there Gulliver saw the perfection in nature, a Utopia. So as I read Sugar's post I was wondering what Obama was thinking of, if indeed, he was in a cloud of smoke--the Lilliputians, the Brobdingnagians, or the Houyhnhnms. Suddenly, the reality hit me---of course it was the Houyhnhnms! There he would have found his vision of a "Socialist Utopia." The perfect world which all liberals dream of and wish to impose on us all for our own good. Or maybe he sees something more ominous---he is Gulliver and we, well we are the Lilliputians.

 

THE TIPPING POINT

The tipping point is that invisible mark that each must find. And in the end some will sit on the side lines while others join the fight. But once the fight is joined the onrushing events will gather momentum and all will be effected by the great struggle and even the "sunshine patriot" will find no refuge from the storm. We are now approaching that point, that place from which there is no turning back, some will say yes, while others hold back and cringe before the foreboding warnings.
Great changes are in the wind and the forces of change are gathering as the approaching storm looms large on the horizon. Many are seeking the shelter of family and friends with the hope that these changes will pass them by and they can again feel the warmth of yesterdays. While others are rushing to fill the breach torn in the fabric of the nation by those forces who would not only destroy the tomorrow's but the yesterday's. For the fair weather soldier the tipping point will never come, for they will continue to push that point farther and farther down the road. They will stand under that sheltered tree as the battle swirls round them and their muskets will never know the taste of fire and smoke. But wiser men will stand and say, "no more", for they have reached that place from which there is no retreat--THE TIPPING POINT!

POLITICAL CORRUPTION IN THE SPRAWING URBAN AREAS OF AMERICA!

Recently the Obama justice department under the leadership, attorney general, Eric Holder has announced that charges brought by the Bush justice department are being dropped against black panthers who stood in front of a polling place, billy sticks in hand, in Philadelphia during the the presidential election. This was obvious intimidation on the part of these radical goons and a stark reminder that voter intimidation is still a part of the national scene, especially in some larger urban centers. These urban areas are a breeding ground for political bosses, corrupt machine politics, voter intimidation, duplicate voting and voter fraud on a grand scale. By dropping these charges the Obama administration is signaling it will turn a blind eye toward big city political corruption. This is not at all surprising considering Obama's history and his path to the White House via the Chicago political machine under Mayor Daley. In almost every major recount during recent years the demons have managed to win by finding new votes in unlikely places such as car trunks, trash cans, and abandon warehouses. The very foundations of our democratic society are being under-mined by these corrupt practices. Recently, I saw a video on a election in Mexico City. Those entering the polling place had to show a picture ID and that was check against a voter registration book with picture ID's in it. Additionally, after voting the voters got the purple thumb treatment. This is a good and almost fool-proof method in preventing voter fraud, and this in a third world country so-what new to democracy. Can you imagine the uproar from the left if Republicans proposed the installation of such measures in our election system,the howls of voter repression and discrimination could be heard on the International Space Station. Why would this call for a system to help prevent voter fraud be met fierce resistance? Why would such a seemingly fair system be condemned? The answer is simple---POLITICAL POWER. With the corrupt political practices in the big city brought under control the huge pluralities the Democratic party enjoys in every election coming out of the big urban areas would evaporate almost over night. And yet, there is little desire on the part of the MSM, those on the left, and even some on the right to acknowledge this problem exist. Until such time occurs the rampant corrupt in the vast urban areas will continue and grow worse. I'll finish this by acknowledging that voter repression in the south as late as the 1960's was out-of-control and the federal government instituted measures to stop that. These measures are still in effect in many deep south states. Such measures now need to be applied to the sprawling urban centers where recent evidence of voter corruption and intimidation is evident.

In 2008, twenty-somethings like me began to notice a disturbing new creature appearing on their college campuses around the country and all over their favorite social networking sites. They seemed to spread out everywhere, spewing meaningless dribble in the form of campaign slogans and infecting others as the year went on until it appeared a full-blown epidemic had emerged. What were these ominous beings and where did they come from?

EXTREMIST OR MODERATE---THE WORDS HAVE LITTLE MEANING!

Extremist and extremism are often misused and confusing terms to the casual political observer. Often the MSM is more likely to use the term when describing people on the right. Is actually comes down to the position of the person using the term. Someone on the far right might easily think of himself as moderate and someone who is a so-called moderate might be branded an extremist by many on the far left. In reality extremism and moderate have little meaning if one does not know the true position on the person using the words. This is a necessity in order to evaluate the position of someone. When I hear these words moderate or extremist I always ask who is saying that and what is their position. By using these words one is more likely branding himself than others, with what ever label he uses.

Today's extremist could be tomorrows moderate or today's moderate could become tomorrows extremist. Its not how others look at you and your positions, but rather how you look at yourself and your views that really counts. Things are always changing and the old and new orders will always be in conflict and will continue to replace each other as part of this protracted conflict. So in reality the words have little meaning other than to accentuate one's own position.

 

ELECTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES!

To paraphrase something Barack Obama keeps reminding us of "elections  have consequences" when the numbers in tonight's primaries are finalized I wonder if he will continue that message; for the people in Pennsylvania, Arkansas, Kentucky and other states are showing that he was right "elections do have consequences".  The results of tonight's elections will be spun by each pundit so as to fit his own personal beliefs and agenda, most Americans, however will see these elections as a rejection of Obama and his relentless drive to gather more power in Washington and fundamentally change America.  A change that is going down in defeat now that the voter is having his voice heard above the roar of the special interest that infect the halls of Congress. REVOLUTION

Run-a-way inflation will be the catalyst, the

spark, that ignites the great fire that will

sweep across the nation. Attempts will be made

to control it. The now, all powerful central

government, will mandate draconian

measures including wage and price controls.

These and other measures will prove

impudent in face of the onrushing events.

Incidents of discontent will at first be sporadic

but will continue with an almost geometric

growth in there numbers and intensity. Local

authorities will quickly find themselves unable

to maintain order and will call on the state

officials for help. The National Guard will be

sent into those areas most affected by the

ever increasing violence. The large urban

areas will bear the brunt of these quickly

escalating events. The Guard will soon

find itself powerless to control things.

The disturbances will be too numerous and

wide-spread. In desperation, the

President will order regular army units into

the most seriously affected regions. These

measures will meet with success in those

places where large numbers of troops can be

concentrated, however by this time the

violence has spread to the suburbs

and to some rural areas. The situation is

now, OUT-OF-CONTROL! The military leaders

will be the first to recognize this and will take

action against those in power, who they

now hold responsible for the cascading

violence now sweeping the nation.

The revolution is over and a military coup has

installed a new civilian government.

Unchecked this could be Obama's road to

REVOLUTION.

After hearing they want to sing the National Anthem in Spanish - enough is enough. Nowhere did they sing it in Italian, Polish, Irish (Celtic), German or any other language because of immigration. It was written by Francis Scott Key and should be sung word for word the way it was written. The news broadcasts even gave the translation -- not even close. NOT sorry if this offends anyone because this is MY COUNTRY.

As more and more questions are raised about the President's past many are beginning to ask what is the man hiding and why doesn't he step forward with some answers. To this observer the answer seems simple, if he answers one question then he must answer all the questions, much as someone must do when taking the "5th". It is becoming increasingly obvious that silence is the only weapon he has for the truth would reveal something that would put his presidency in jeopardy and even undo many of the so-called "landmark" pieces of legislation he has managed to push through Congress despite the will of the American people. The following article addresses just one of the many looming questions that the President must answer before they are uncovered and revealed to an increasingly doubting public.

NEW YORK – Two private investigators working independently are asking why President Obama is using a Social Security number set aside for applicants in Connecticut while there is no record he ever had a mailing address in the state.

In addition, the records indicate the number was issued between 1977 and 1979, yet Obama's earliest employment reportedly was in 1975 at a Baskin-Robbins ice-cream shop in Oahu, Hawaii.

WND has copies of affidavits filed separately in a presidential eligibility lawsuit in the U.S. District Court of the District of Columbia by Ohio licensed private investigator Susan Daniels and Colorado private investigator John N. Sampson.

The investigators believe Obama needs to explain why he is using a Social Security number reserved for Connecticut applicants that was issued at a date later than he is known to have held employment.

The Social Security website confirms the first three numbers in his ID are reserved for applicants with Connecticut addresses, 040-049.

"Since 1973, Social Security numbers have been issued by our central office," the Social Security website explains. "The first three (3) digits of a person's social security number are determined by the ZIP code of the mailing address shown on the application for a social security number."

The question is being raised amid speculation about the president's history fueled by an extraordinary lack of public documentation. Along with his original birth certificate, Obama also has not released educational records, scholarly articles, passport documents, medical records, papers from his service in the Illinois state Senate, Illinois State Bar Association records, any baptism records and adoption papers.

THE EARLY AMERICAN PATRIOTS WERE EXTREMIST!

In recent months the term "right wing extremist" has been used a lot. We hear it coming from Janet Napolitano at DHS and others in the administration. So to settle the issue once and for all I admit to being a right wing extremist. In the American political system there are the right and the left extremes and the vast middle. And in our system, one that has served us well for 200+ years it is the political extremes that have put forth the new ideas and programs. Let me repeat its the extremes on the left and on the right that generate change. The vast middle for the most part go about their lives oblivious to the political events surrounding them and seldom venture into the arena. Yes, on election day some do go to the polls. Some will contend that its this vast silent majority, the great center that determines the outcome of our elections and sets the course of the nation. Nothing, absolutely nothing could be farther from the truth. The American extremes set the agenda it is they who fight to get their message out to those in the middle and which ever in most successful in that effort will carry the day. But always remember the agenda, the message did not come from the middle but from the extremes who drive the political debate. Sadly those in the American center are nothing but pawns to the extremes for those in the middle for the most part think there is little they can do to affect the outcome, and most could care less about the outcome in the great struggles---the masses are like sheep who will follow the Shepperd with the longest staff.

One should never forget that when the American Revolution began there was little support for that effort. The early American patriots were a lonely bunch as were those who supported the Crown. These two extremes of early American found little support from the common man, but as time progressed the center began to move in the direction of the early Patriots and in the end there cause, one of individualism and nationalism carried the day. Our nation is now at another crossroad where the modern day patriots are being challenged by the counter-revolutionary forces of the extreme left. Forces that would overturn the American Revolution and install a new system of collectivism and a new internationalism patterned after the United Nations for these forces on the left despise individualism and nationalism. The struggle has begun, not the struggle between right and left, but the struggle for the minds of those in the middle. One must remember that for the most part those in the center only concern themselves with one thing--a full belly and a roof over their heads. They are in many ways simple people who who love their god and their family, but have little use for politics and leave that to others. Its here that the battle must be won.

So if you are a true American Patriot, an American Patriot like those who stood on the greens at Lexington and Concord, then you my friend are an extremist and in this case a patriotic revolutionary extremism and those on the opposite side are not patriots, far from it, but they are the counter-revolutionary forces who would roll back the gains of our great American Revolution. So when those on the left claim to me as patriotic as the next man, you must stand up and confront them for what they are , the unpatriotic forces of the counter-revolution.

THE EPA IS JUST A POLITICAL ARM OF THE WHITE HOUSE!

Obama is attempting to bypass congress and the will of the American people by executive order in giving the EPA new powers that will give them massive control over over all phases of our lives. The cap and trade policies will not be passed by congress, so the intention of the Obama administration is to pass them through the EPA by decree. These proposed standards on green house gases will in fact destroy the economy of the United States. Energy prices will literally go through the roof and businesses large and small will be forced to raise the price of their products or their services to the public. The individual who must pay to heat and cool his home will be forced to pay much more. Consumers will pay more at home, much more. Consumers will pay more everywhere--the grocery store, the movies, the cafe, the fast food places,the gas station, at every turn of our lives the new Obama policies will rob us, will rob us of our lively hood and our children's future. This is not a plan for redistribution, but a road to destruction, a road to total control or perhaps a road to revolution. Yes, Obama's revolution could plunge this country into a new type of civil war, a war between the vast urban areas and the sprawling rural and suburban areas of the country. No north vs south this time. Obama is on a path to a violent revolution not the peaceful revolution he and his fellow-travelers have planned for. This is a dark picture, but sadly one that could materialize.

THE TEA PARTY AND VICTORY!

At his point in what will be a long uphill struggle, we must not search for that candidate who is represents all we agree with for that man doesn't exist. We must have a limited approach and like a toddler, take one step at a time building a strong foundation as we progress toward our goal. A strong house isn't built over night and without a solid foundation isn't worth having. Like most who read this blog, I would prefer that the Tea Party movement adopt strong stands on social issues, but that is not to be at this time. We will have time somewhere down the line for that, after all victory will come to the patient. The road ahead is filled with many obstacles and hidden mines and must be navigated slowly and methodically less we fall victim to our own zeal and eagerness for victory.

Now is the time for caution, and although we can begin to see some light it would be a mistake to rush the center of the enemy's line as Lee did at Gettysburg in hope of achieving that crowning victory. The enemy's flank is weak, let us hit him there and then advance on to Washington!!!

OBAMA'S REVOLUTION IS HERE!

The “changes” being wrought by President Barack Obama will have a profound effect on the nation’s future.

Barack Obama campaigned for the presidency on the central theme of “change.” American voters bought into his message, but now, after some 15 months in office, Obama’s “change” has turned into more of a revolution.

It’s a revolution that is indeed changing America and will affect citizens for years to come. He is doing this with acts of executive privilege, suspending or changing rules of legislation in Congress and adding controls and regulations. He is taking control of private businesses and calling for legislation on energy, automobiles and many other facets of daily life in America. Our foreign policy is being changed. He and his congressional cronies have jammed through legislation calling for massive debt. They are telling businesses what they must pay their employees; they are forcing banks to accept federal bailout money, then telling them how to run their banks.

The “changes” go on and on, and Obama makes it clear he is just starting.

How long will the public allow Obama and his congressional henchmen to take away freedoms and exert greater control over America? At first, many of his defenders tried to soft-pedal his “changes,” but now, even some of his most ardent supporters are starting to urge him to slow down, with some saying they intend to start voting against some of his efforts.

Granted, there are those on Wall Street and elsewhere who have abused their positions and privileges, and, in some cases, they should be punished. But Obama’s manner of punishment is far too broad and deep, “punishing” millions who had nothing to do with the excesses and bad practices of a few.

What is to limit the president and his government from taking control of any business in the country if he judges it is too large to fail?

If he and the government have the power to take over a particular business, what is to keep him from taking over businesses and/or telling all kinds of businesses what they can pay employees? How about telling Americans how to set their thermostats or what color of car they can buy?

It’s reaching a dangerous stage that will change America for decades, in domestic matters as well as in America’s position and stature abroad.

THE NATIONAL TEA PARTY MOVEMENT

THE NATIONAL TEA PARTY MOVEMENT IS ONLY IN IT'S EARLY STAGES. THE PASSAGE OF OBAMACARE WILL IF ANYTHING INVIGORATE AND REVITALIZE THE MOVEMENT. THOSE IN WASHINGTON WHO SUPPORT BIG GOVERNMENT AND COLLECTIVE MEASURES THAT WOULD RESULT IN LESS CHOICES AND LONGER LINES FOR ALL OF US WILL HAVE TO ANSWER AT THE POLLS THIS FALL. THE BALLOT BOXES WILL BE FULL OF VOTES FROM AN AROUSED NATION THAT WILL BRING ABOUT A MASS EXIT FROM CONGRESS WITH SAD FACES ON THOSE LEAVING THEIR COVETED SEATS.

THE SUN IS RISING ON A NEW DAY AND THE RECENT PASSAGE OF NATIONAL HEALTH CARE WILL BE BUT A DYING GASP OF A DISCREDITED IDEOLOGY WHICH WILL BE RELEGATED TO THE DUST BIN OF HISTORY BY AN ANGRY NATION!
